I created this menu when I was following the HCG protocol.  Since then, there are numerous sites and blogs, stating this is a dangerous diet level.

They are correct if you are not under a doctors care.  Many doctors that are monitoring patients use this type of diet menu, but it is not recommended for the average person not under the care of a physician.

Please ensure that if you are attempting this strict of a diet, with this low of calories that you are either under a doctors care or being aware of your body signals and eating more when you feel the need.

For very short periods of time, this has been shown to significantly reduce weight.  Each individual is different, therefore this diet will affect them differently.  The purpose of this page is to show you the options that are available, but only you can make decisions that are right for you.

In conclusion, the 500 Calorie Diet menu is a VLCD, Very Low-Calorie Diet plan, which is not right for everyone.  It has an extensive history of getting individuals rapid weight loss but needs to be done with caution, due to the extremely low-calorie level.  I hope this has been informative and helpful.  I wish you the best of health and to reach out if you have any questions.
