The answer is yes and no, it depends on your current weight. Typically Very Low-Calorie Diet plans or VLCD plans are below 1000 Calories a day and should be reviewed with a doctor before starting. If you are less than 130 pounds this may not be an abnormally low amount of calories to be eating per day.
